Feeling Unsure? Inadequate? Under-prepared?

We all have days when the students' ask one too many "por qué" or "cómo se dice" questions. Through your gritted teeth, remember to say "I'll get back to you on that," and then run, don't walk, run to these sites:

That always leaves me feeling inadequate. Something I've recently started doing is suggest the student with the question research the answer and come back to the class with it so we can all discuss it and learn it. It takes the pressure off me and gets everyone else more involved

I have recently decided to ban "How do you say/Cómo se dice" in my classes. So I do not have to feel like a walking dictionary and my students receive more practice with circumlocution. It is really working well!

I used to bring a dictionary to class and told them to look it up. It took the pressure off me and help them develop a good habit/skill.
